They come in various shapes and materials to suit different riding disciplines and horse conformations. On the other hand, DL saddles are actual saddles that are designed to provide a comfortable and secure seat for the rider while also distributing their weight evenly on the horse's back. DL saddles come in different styles and are made with high-quality materials to ensure durability and performance. PD stands for "pony dressage," indicating that the pad is specifically designed to fit under a pony-sized dressage saddle. VS stands for "all-purpose or close contact," indicating that the pad is designed to fit under an all-purpose or close contact saddle. These abbreviations help riders choose the right size and style of saddle pad for their specific saddle and riding discipline. **

As an AI, I don't have personal preferences, but I can provide information. The choice between a jumping saddle and a dressage saddle depends on the type of riding you do. Jumping saddles are designed with a forward flap and a more forward seat to allow for the shorter stirrup length and the more forward position required for jumping. Dressage saddles have a straighter flap and a deeper seat to allow the rider to sit in a more upright position, which is necessary for the precise movements of dressage. Ultimately, the best saddle for you will depend on your specific riding discipline and personal preferences. **

The saddle pad is located under the saddle. The saddle pad is a piece of material that is placed between the saddle and the horse's back to provide cushioning and protection. It helps to distribute the pressure from the saddle and provides a comfortable fit for the horse. The saddle is then placed on top of the saddle pad to provide a secure and comfortable seat for the rider. **

The Barefoot Cherokee is a western-style saddle offered by Barefoot. It features a deep seat and high cantle, typical of western saddles, providing stability and security for the rider. The Cherokee saddle also has a horn, which is a common feature in western saddles for roping and ranch work. **

A saddle pad in a neutral color such as white, cream, or tan would complement a brown English saddle nicely. These colors will not clash with the brown saddle and will create a classic and polished look. Additionally, a saddle pad with subtle piping or trim in a coordinating color can add a touch of elegance to the overall appearance. **

To attach the saddle pad and saddle blanket to the saddle, first place the saddle pad directly on the horse's back, ensuring it is centered and sits evenly on both sides. Next, place the saddle blanket over the saddle pad, making sure it covers the entire pad and extends slightly beyond the edges of the saddle. Then, carefully place the saddle on top of the saddle blanket, ensuring it is centered and sits evenly on the horse's back. Finally, secure the saddle in place with the girth or cinch, making sure it is snug but not too tight. **
